Being introduced to track and field through participation in the Challenge Games organised through the school system, 12-year-old Kanako has already set three Australian records in a primary school track and field event.
Kanako is not only a track and field star, but she also plays as goal keeper in her field hockey club, and has represented Townsville in local competitions. Kanako is one tough young lady;with the removal of a benign brain tumour, and leaving her with right-sided weakness. Proving that nothing can stop her, Kanako’s sporting dream is to represent Australia at the Paralympics.
